You mention it happens when they restored from a minimized state. If you
have a lockscreen, and launch a modal form, they minimize, restore, it might
get weird. I've not tried it myself yet, but that's the scenario I come up
with explaining the behavior.

Don't use lockscreen in my program but I'm sure I tried it and it made no
difference.
This is the screen code I use in my startup program.
WITH _Screen
.show
.WindowState = 2 && Maximized
.AddObject ( "Title2", "Title" )
.AddProperty('Aforms[20]',NULL)
.Title2.Top = .height - 100
.Title2.Left = .Title2.Left - 4
.Title2.ForeColor = RGB ( 255, 0, 0 )
.caption="Rajan X-Tra"
.FontName = "Courier New"
.FontSize = 12
.title2.caption="X-Tra"
.icon=ps_home+'theblackknightinarmour.ico'
ENDWITH
this uses a class defintion:
****************************************
DEFINE CLASS Title AS LABEL
FontName= [Times New Roman]
FontSize= 72
Visible = .T.
Width = 600
Height = 125
Top = _Screen.Height - 100
Left = 25
Caption = [X-Tra]
ForeColor=RGB ( 192,192,192 )
BackStyle= 0 && Transparent
ENDDEFINE
apart from that I call my menu
DO MENUS\RAJNEW.MPR WITH lcForm
ON SHUTDOWN do cleanup with 'Normal'
READ EVENTS
I don't normally load a form at startup so can't work out why this
portion of the screen is like it is.

I'll have a look round.
