You'll probably appreciate what Obama wants to do now then: http://bit.ly/hbYz - - - WASHINGTON (AP) - The president's new science adviser said Wednesday that global warming is so dire, the Obama administration is discussing radical technologies to cool Earth's air. John Holdren told The Associated Press in his first interview since being confirmed last month that the idea of geoengineering the climate is being discussed. One such extreme option includes shooting pollution particles into the upper atmosphere to reflect the sun's rays. Holdren said such an experimental measure would only be used as a last resort. - - - Somehow this strikes me as an absolutely terrible, high-risk, all-but-guaranteed-to-make-matters-far-worse kind of idea. Which is why there is a very high likelihood that they'll try it---they seem to be pathologically committed to these kinds of crazy solutions to exaggerated problems. I suggest they redirect those particles up Holdren's arse, where he got this idea in the first place. - Bob > -- > Regards, > > Pete > http://pete-theisen.com/ > http://elect-pete-theisen.com/ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
