If the Word documents can be modified and you have some control over this,
you might consider Word Bookmarks. Automation code is fairly
straightforward. The approach allows users to maintain the documents/forms
and provides you will simple search and replace techniques. Example code can
be found in the Hentzenwerke book Microsoft Office Automation with Visual
FoxPro too.

Subject: Generate Word Forms from VFP?

Hi All,

I need to be able to generate a Word form from VFP. The user would be able
to fill out part of the form in my VFP GUI, but would then need to save it
as a Word form and open it in Word later to finish filling it out. It needs
to be a Word form, with expandable blanks and so forth, not just a Word
document.

I've used FRXToWord to create simple Word documents in the past. I know
FRXToAny has more capabilities--and also costs a pretty penny. It might be
worth it though if it can produce an actual user-fillable form, not just a
document.

A PDF form is not an option; it has to be Word.

Can FRXToAny, or some other native Fox product, do that?

Thanks for any help.
