Hi Paul! Don't ever try FF with KDE and Mepis 7 then, you will be disappointed. I understand from another Linux group that the combination does *not* reclaim memory when things close and after a few days runs out of memory. The hard drive runs out of swap space as well and it all just cranks and cranks without getting whatever it is trying to do (like close a process) done. Keyboard, mouse - nothing works. Work around is to hardware shutdown, wait a while (at least 10 seconds) and restart. -- Regards, Pete http://pete-theisen.com/ http://elect-pete-theisen.com/ _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
