Hi Everybody! I never thought I would ever do this, but I installed Win 2K SP3 in a Sun Virtual Box 2.1.4, wash out my mouth with soap. It looks nice but it is really clunky.
I would appreciate it if those of you with some experience with Virtual Box would answer these questions: 1. I took the defaults of 168 MB memory and 2 GB hard drive. Should I have given it more memory? I guess the hard disk is dynamic, expands according to need. 2. Is Winders actually on the hard drive physically, or will it go away if I reboot or close Virtual Box? 3. Can I install the (downloaded) software I want to run from my hard drive or do I have to burn a CD? I wouldn't have done it at all, but there are a couple doctor tech things I have to run that only respond to The Great $atan. I can't remember what I paid for that Win 2K copy, but it was a lot, particularly in the light of the way better Open Source stuff being free.
