Piece of cake with EZTwain.  There used to be a white paper floating 
around the net about using eztwain with VFP and a webcam to create 
conference badges on the fly.   If you google vfp and EZTwain, you might 
find it.  Very close to what you want.  Also check out EZTwain web site.

Not free, but not expensive, either.
