Is there another Vista box in the mix that is also failing? Is there another
box in the office running any OS connected to the peer-to-peer network that
is successfully working with the data? I doubt this is a Vista issue. It is
more likely to be a networking issue with a bad card, switch, or wire not
allowing VFP to cache the indexes fast enough or clean enough, or a corrupt
index to begin with.
