It could be: clicking directly back on the data entry form or a double click on any row in the grid (grid text controls dblclick event bound to form level event, which might be a clue) There is no specific button or control that reactivates the parent form.
In either case, once I have activated the child grid form, navigating in the parent form no longer changes the current hilight row in the grid, etc. The only way to get it back is to close the forms (Close one and they both close.)
