Hi Stephen,

I have become acquainted with some at church as well. I say they are
ignorant in that they only talk amongst themselves, a person such as I
cannot engage them beyond the superficial. They politely excuse
themselves beyond hello and perhaps a few more words.

I am not the first to make this observation. Ross Perot pointed this out
when he ran for president.

Thus, they don't have any idea what it is like to be middle class,
especially lower middle class. The poor they make it a point to engage,
particularly poor from other, far distant parts of the world. But they
shun the middle class, actually not wanting to know what our lives, and
budgets, are like.

This sort of logic: If twenty years ago you could buy a nice mansion for
$30 million, and today you can still buy a nice mansion for $30 million,
if twenty years ago you could buy a nice personal aircraft for $30
million, and today you can still buy a nice personal aircraft for $30
million, if twenty years ago you could buy a nice yacht for $30 million,
and today you can still buy a nice yacht for $30 million, if twenty
years ago you could buy a nice limousine for $3 million, and today you
can still buy a nice limousine for $3 million, why, you see, there is no
inflation. What are people complaining about?

They just don't want to know.
