IIRC almost any Mac purchased after June 8 is eligible for the $9.95 Snow 
Leopard upgrade, as opposed to the $29.

They said we had to pay the $29 for the upgrade.  We went on the Apple 
website and they offered the upgrade to us for $10 but we had to fax our 
credit card to them.  "Fax our credit card to them" was not acceptable 
to us in this day and age.  I appealed back to Mac Media and they said 
"their hands were tied".
