Hi Nicholas,

You must live in another part of the country than he does. Around here 
it is "Doh!" Always explosive, with an exclamation when written.

Now the kids say "duh" as well, but without the explosive or 
explanation, generally as "Well, duh . . . ", perhaps dragging out the 
"d u u u h . . ."
