Well, in the quiet of the night, Van Jones shows himself the door.

The NYT will issue the first report on the "controversy" that has been
broiling over this nutjob for several weeks on Tuesday -- more than 36 hours
after he resigns. And they wonder why they're in the tank?

The way the media handled this, and every other kook czar Obama has
appointed to unaccountable positions of real power in his administration,
has been shameful in a frightening and rather shocking way.

Not one word about it on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, or the NYT at all, till today,
when they kinda had to.

I am torn between Cass Susstein and Mark Lloyd as the next target of belated
scrutiny.

Cass's lunacy is a special kind of bizarre, and his legal writings (whether
waxing eloquent about giving animals the right to an attorney, or making the
case that young people's lives are more worthy of scarce resources than old
people's lives) are entertaining on a kind of macabre level that I actually
enjoy, but when you consider he's our "regulatory czar" his potential damage
to the economy is arguably greater.

On the other hand, "diversity czar" Mark Lloyd is a direct threat to free
speech. He's on record praising Hugo Chavez's approach to the media after
the "revolution" (which he praises), but he has another dubious distinction
(and apparent resume enhancer in this Secret Service-be-damned human
resources department Obama has created): to wit, he helped found the
domestic terrorist organization known as the Weather Underground with none
other than... Bill Ayers!

You know, that college professor in Obama's neighborhood whom he barely knew
(after serving for a long time on two left-wing foundations with him, and
having his first political fundraiser in his home). The one who probably
ghost edited (if not ghost wrote) his first memoir, "Dreams from my
Father"... the one who said on Sept 11 that he regretted he "didn't do
enough" to oppose the US government back in the glory days of his own deadly
attacks on law officers and the Pentagon.

There are a bunch of others to choose from -- Obama's extraconsitutional
czarist "politburo" is the most target rich environment for true-red America
hating nutjobs ever assembled in the Oval Office -- but these two seem
somehow most worthy of a good solid public outing.

Next up!

- Bob
