Hi Foxgang Just found a gothcha I have ignored vartype() as type() worked fine but I thought to save finding the shift key for quotes I would try vartype(). Well vartype() seems NOT to work the same in that if the variable/object whatever does not exist it throws an error. Just a heads up in case anyone else thought Vartype() and Type() were the same. Al
