Hi Everybody,

I got back a nickel in my change somewhere that someone had stained or
even anodized to the color of a penny. Since I am retired with little to
do I cleaned it up after I noticed it, which wasn't easy. Finally used a
3500 rpm wire wheel after first trying soap, paint thinner, lacquer
thinner, sandpaper and toothpaste.

Buy why would anyone do that to begin with? In addition to the work
involved, the coin is now worth less?
