Hi Stephen, I once had a new 1969 Renault R10 that got 40. However, it was worn out after a year. The 1995 Ford E250 van with a 300 in-line 6 I have shows 114,000 plus change and runs like new. But, 11 miles per gallon. Of course, it scaled at just shy of 5,000 lbs. empty.
