This really isn't accurate: " Apple's protection mechanisms". The worm does
go after jailbroken phones, but only the ones where the user ignored the
large, loud and obvious instructions to change the default password from
'alpine' to something else. So yes, there is some stupidity involved.
'Choice' is what you make of it. I've run XDA roms on my windows mobile
devices for years without incident as they give me superior control over the
device and open the door to really getting the most out of the hardware. I
really like the the IPhone is following along in the same path. This worm
just illustrates the old concept of RTFM when you're out there on the edge.
