The double standard is amazing.

They fawn over Obama's Ayers-breathed fictions and half-truths, but
devote 11 AP journalists to "fact checking" Palin's book. By contrast,
the AP only devoted 2 journalists to analyzing 4000 pages of health
care bill text between the House and Senate versions.

Her book is a huge best seller DESPITE their efforts at marginalizing
her and painting her as a dangerous extremist. They really moved the
goal post as far to the left as one can imagine with Obama. The new
"mainstream" is a Mao-quoting pinhead who thinks the government's job
is to control every aspect of every citizen's life and run every major
industry that it deems "too big to fail".

I admire Palin. She's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but she's
honest about who she is and what she believes, even if it means pseudo
conservatives like David Frum mock her to curry favor with network
bigwigs. I bought her book just to spite those dicks.

I'll take an honest and principled person of average intelligence and
real-world fallibility over some condescending asshole with a fairy
tale life story and a foreign agenda any day.

"It ought never to be forgotten, that a firm union of this country,
under an efficient government, will probably be an increasing object
of jealousy to more than one nation of Europe; and that enterprises to
subvert it will sometimes originate in the intrigues of foreign
powers, and will seldom fail to be patronized and abetted by some of
them. Its preservation, therefore ought in no case that can be
avoided, to be committed to the guardianship of any but those whose
situation will uniformly beget an immediate interest in the faithful
and vigilant performance of the trust." [Federalist Papers #59]
