I've rarely if ever found a screenshot beneficial since the resulting error usually has something to do with something done previously.
What I do find useful is writing the error details to memo fields in a table (errlog.dbf) and then the system send an email notification directly to me. The fields in the errlog.dbf are Errnid, lnnumb, prognm, logdate, logtime, dmpmemo, dmpstat, dmpcall, errmsg -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of John Weller Sent: Tuesday, November 24, 2009 03:58 To: [email protected] Subject: RE: WAIT I'm not sure about the screenshot being overkill, I have found them helpful on occasion as they can give additional information about tie conditions when the error occurred. Obviously I also need to know the error details, line no, etc. I'd love to know how to automate a screenshot though.
