>> Has anyone seen any articles about fox 8 and fox 9 compatibility with Windows 7? I managed to avoid the issues with Vista but sounds like 7 is going to be a pain.<<
Doug Hennig did a terrific Vista with VFP session at several conferences in 2007. Most, if not all concepts apply to Windows 7. He also wrote a series of articles for Advisor. Looks like the first one is available to the public. http://my.advisor.com/doc/18897 Rick Strahl has a blog entry here: http://www.west-wind.com/wconnect/WebLog/ShowEntry.blog?id=571 I have system tested some of my VFP 9 apps on Windows 7 (nothing for VFP 8). Only issue I had was the Image control and a transparent GIF file. On XP and Vista the image was fine. On Windows 7 I had to turn the BackStyle property to transparent. Of course, I was a step ahead of you though as I tested for Windows Vista. Your apps might be different than mine so your mileage might vary. 64-bit might be a small problem setting up 32-bit ODBC drivers, but they work fine in my experience. Highly recommend VFP 9 SP2 with the latest hotfix as well. This way you can system test the application once, which is a recommendation.
