Just have a look on the online version. What happened with Hotmail was that the account was compromised, all the addresses from the contact list and from each email were taken and then used to send spam. Once the spam had been sent the inbox and sentbox were cleared down. You can't tell this if you use outlook or another mail client, only if you log on via a browser.

I don't know if it hacks it every time it sends or just keeps sending the emails it hacked the first time. --- On Thu, 1/7/10, Adam Buckland <[email protected]> wrote: > From: Adam Buckland <[email protected]> > Subject: RE: [NF] An email was sent using my yahoo address book, but no virus > found. - Number of numbers in MIME From exceeds maximum threshold > To: "ProFox Email List" <[email protected]> > Date: Thursday, January 7, 2010, 6:47 AM > Log in online to yahoo and check, if > you have lost your emails there > then you've been hacked...Change your yahoo password. > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] > On > Behalf Of Michael Madigan > Sent: 07 January 2010 04:25 > To: [email protected] > Subject: [NF] An email was sent using my yahoo address > book, but no virus > found. - Number of numbers in MIME From exceeds maximum > threshold > > The contacts on my yahoo address book received an email > from me at 9:00 > AM today with a spam link on it.
