The dood that sat in this chair before me set up a windows script to copy files from on of our servers to a PC located elsewhere, as part of an emergency planning thing. These are forms the ER and/or hospital would need access to in case of network or other failure...
The script works just fine... run it, and the proper dirs are correctly updated with all the proper stuff... it be good... The problem is when this script is scheduled to run off hours, it starts but just sits there with a "running" status. I've sat there in the morning, afternoon and evening and each time is the same - the script fires up, but just sits there not doing anything. The script copies files to a mapped drive to the target machine which I can see is set up properly when viewed in Explorer. BUT the drive mapping produces a red 'X' unavailable symbol when the script is running under the scheduler. Not so when ran manually. The user that is logged into the machine running this has admin rights to the mapped drive and the destination machine. Same with ownership of the script itself. I am at a loss as to what to look at next. Any suggestions??
