In that case, you can do this:

=makeupdatable('mycursor') (or do makeupdatable with 'mycursor')
select mycursor
index on .....
index on....
PROCEDURE MAKEUPDATABLE (cArea)
use (dbf (cArea)) in 0 again alias curAux
use in select (cArea)
use (dbf ("curAux")) in 0 again alias (cArea)
use in select ('curAux')
ENDPROC
