"In a sensible country, people would see Obama as a president trying to define a modern brand of moderate progressivism. In a sensible country, Obama would be able to clearly define this project without fear of offending the people he needs to get legislation passed. But we don’t live in that country." Brooks may be many things, but he does not understand this country, nor does he understand Obama at all. Obama is forty clicks to Brooks' left, if that close. If Brooks had read Obama's book -- really read it, not just been enraptured by it's Ayers-breathed odyssean rhetoric -- he'd not trust a single word that comes out of the man's mouth, because his deceptive techniques of evasion and dissimulation are reflected upon openly, as he learned to practice them on his own mother. - Publius > > > --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- > multipart/alternative > text/plain (text body -- kept) > text/html > --- > [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
