Personally, I find the fact they're using reconciliation to avoid the filibuster as sufficiently outrageous; the whole Demon Pass thing was probably calculated to make Reconciliation appear "straight." There is nothing straight about it if they pass amendments to a law that is not yet a law, whether they officially "deem" it passed or just pretend it was passed when the pass the Reconciliation. And in any case, the Senate still will have a chance to modify it, and even one comma change to the reconciliation bill sends it back to the House. - Publius > -- > Regards, > > Pete > http://pete-theisen.com/ > http://elect-pete-theisen.com/ > [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
