Glad you solved (I guess) your issue. I guess this is the reason we have lost 
pounds of hair along the way.
I have an issue inside a pageframe that is intermittent and can't seem to fix 
it. And the pageframe has to exist. I think the pageframe (which is a 
container) is the culprit!
It is an intermittent 'invalid subscript reference' that I can't duplicate that 
is based on an ole drag drop from, you guessed it, a listbox into a textbox.. 
Like I said I use lots of arrays.
Glad your issue is resolved...sort of...

I removed the most interior container, same bad behavior, removed the next
container put both listboxes directly on the form, and all works fine now.

Can't figure it out but at least in this circumstance the listbox does not
operate as expected if it is contained, and laying them directly on the form
cured the issue...
