I agree, but communications is a necessity in todays world, and its 
futile to go up against these huge communication carriers like AT&T.  
There has been consolidation in carriers, especially after legislation 
passed in congress during the early George W. Bush years, so carriers 
seem to be gaining in power all the time.  All these carriers are 
regulated by the FCC, but I don't think the FCC gets into regulating 
rates, like some industries with natural monopolies are regulated, (eg 
Utility Companies), for example).
