Client would not know were to start.  Anyway you would find it hard
round here to find anyone who even knew what Linux was.  Did try but my
big clients were not interested.  My biggest client runs software
written for John Deere dealerships totally windows based.  Their
accounts system is Unix based but soon to be replaced with a Windows
version as requested by most of the dealers in the UK.

Hi Peter,

What is dearer, money, recovery disks or laptops? Have you considered 
Linux? Some distros might work without anything original.
