that is where I'm headed with the article. I did a study sometime back that i need to revisit.
about 25% of all americans have a degree. yet about 75% of all jobs require a degree This is why the h1b proponents say they can't find enough qualified people, because now that the hiring is no longer done by the dept needing the help, HR does not have the experience to look at a resume and make that determination, so they use programs to scan resumes for buzzwords... Whats sad, and I don't remember the exact figures right this minute, but about 25% of all americans make more then 50,000 per year and about 75% of all americans make less then 50,000 per year. based on my calculations (based on my experiences), it costs a family, or household about 50,000 per year just to survive. This is why 75% of all americans can't really stimulate the economy anymore.. But I need peoples stories to document it, which is why I appreciate all of your stories and why I won't disclose anybody's specifics.. I know a guy named Art, that is a much better developer then I am and he can't find work either. his crime is he went in the marine corps instead of college, just as I went in the navy instead of college. On the other hand, I have plenty of MBA's out there that can't find work either. Their crime is that they worked in the software industry.
