I got it fixed.
I don't know why the file corrupted.
But [SATA Hard Drive Not Detected
] error is because XP CD's do not have drivers for SATA HDs.
I found out the tapping [F11] during boot up on this HP Presario
V6000TX boots the machine to the "recovery disk", that is D:\.
I then was able to do a Restore instead of a destructive reformatting.
