Hi Grig & thanks for replying I would have thought so to but no. What I'm doing is using teechart gantt and moving the gantt bar. It returns a value in startvalues that is supposed to be, according to VB, the offset since 01/01/0001. Today it returns 40287 as the int and no way does that give today's date from 01/01/0001. I thought maybe its Julian. Al
