Working on a Word automation project (in Access unfortunately) where I want to go thru a folder, find all the .doc files, open them up for some formatting changes, save, close, move on...
my code works great (of course !!) but some documents as it turns out are pw protected, and when I try and query a property to test for a protected document, it throws an error. It's a Catch-22 - I have to query a document property to see if I can query a document property... Does anyone know of a way to ask Word about the doc such that it tells me if I can go ahead and mess with it?? Or am I going to have to write some messy error trapping code?
