Well, I'm working on the only person over whom I have power & control: myself.

I think there is more hope for a serial killer in prison than there is
for a person in power or authority who thinks he's got the answer to
everything.

Some of us who fancy ourselves free have no idea what freedom is until
you see a totally broken person operate in that freedom. These Malachi
Dads have more freedom, arguably, than you or I. Interestingly, not a
one of them would trade that in even if it meant they could leave the
prison walls.

One way Warden Cain said you know a conversion is real vs. fake is
that the inmate stops pleading his own innocence or seeking his own
release, and instead starts caring about his family and other inmates
in real, tangible, practical ways.

By contrast, I think people in power are the biggest slaves of all.
They are addicted to power, and can think of nothing more creative, by
way of solving problems, than to grab more and more and more of it,
whether or not doing so actually exacerbates the problem. We are
getting a real object lesson in that right now under
Obama+Pelosi+Reid.

I actually rather pity the clowns at the White House and in Congress
after an experience like Angola. I think it would be a good thing if
they all got to be long-term residents there... and I do mean ALL of
them.
