I am not sure which way round your problem is as I think the body contradicts the subject, but I have a program that uses registry and ini files and that works fine under win7 pro Al
-----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Our Q/C guy had successfully tested a simple little app on Win 7 Ultimate machine in our lab, but the app fails on user's Win 7 Home Premium computer. App just reads/writes to a local INI file, reads/writes some values in the system registry, and queries VFP9 free tables from the LAN via mapped folder derived from INI file settings. Our core program appears to run fine, and that reads/writes to the INI file, so I think it has to do with the registry more than anything. User has admin access. Ideas as to how read/write from/to INI/Registry could be an issue in Win 7 Home Premium versus how Ultimate gets around these apparent problems? _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/003001caf07a$fcb1fd80$f615f8...@com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
