I really don't see the two companies as equal. One is a hardware sales company and the other is a software company. Apple is brand strong, in that you see the identity of the product on millions of devices around the world. M$ is not brand boastful at all in that you never see the logo associated with their products. Microsquish had a huge set of gains in the 80-90 run to Y2K. Business wanted computers and they were the only game in town. Today the world is on replacement equipment retiring older assets as needed. Other OS vendors can chip away at the strength of M$ because there are now other games in town. I like that other games are out there. It demands improvements across all products. We all win. -- Stephen Russell Sr. Production Systems Programmer CIMSgts 901.246-0159 cell _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
