Don't you believe it. It isn't a problem with the hardware, it is the way
VFP seems to interact with the OS. We have so many UPS's that we could power
the UK for 20 minutes without power but I still disable all cache as VFP
just doesn't like it. You may get it working OK and it may SEEM to work but
in times of high loading it will bite you back. Take it from one with loads
of bitten arse experience!

Had a tech today tell me that it wasn't necessary to disable 
write-behind caching if the processor had a battery backup or if the box 
had a UPS on it.

Sounded logical, since those devices would prevent power loss/flux and 
hence not cause issue with DBF.

What do you think?
