Media Player Classic Home Cinema: http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/ SMPlayer http://smplayer.sourceforge.net/ Both are excellent players. Both should play DVDs out of the box. I'm particularly impressed with SMPlayer as it works flawlessly on my old 800Mhz Pentium 3 laptop (relegated to media player duties), even streaming over wireless.
