More likely a different drive to burn them. I was told by a software 
engineer of CD/DVD burning software, his biggest troubles are with 
Philips CD's and newer drives. Older drives with the thicker more energy 
consuming lasers tend to work best for those.

I'd invest in a new spindle of CD's before bothering with the rest of those.
