        Also, CAST() only accepts a limited number of types:

• BINARY[(N)]
• CHAR[(N)]
• DATE
• DATETIME
• DECIMAL[(M[,D])]
• SIGNED [INTEGER]
• TIME
• UNSIGNED [INTEGER]

        In your case, you probably want to use 'UNSIGNED' for your type.
