I can't say Ted as he is the son of a friend I only see twice a year. I got
the message from his mother and he was asking about Java in particular. I
think it was software engineering studies (computer science as you said) and
maybe he did learn one I don't know. Plus I think uni's have own agenda's
(like some here lol). So maybe uni's are teaching Java for some obscure
reason.
Thanks for your and other peoples input. It is a more interesting subject
than I thought when I wrote the question.
