Well it's official, El Presidente is calling on none other than Bush's
loathed Iraq Man, Gen. Betrayus, the very same guy he and Vice
President Bite Me mocked a few short years ago and said had zero
chance of success in Iraq, to head up the operations in Afghanistan.

The press is fawning all over this decisive mechanical adjustment like
teenage groupies, careful not to show any of the reams of footage of
the two of them attacking Petraeus viciously in Senate hearings when
they were just yapping opposition talking points parrots. LOL!

I half expect a George Clooney/Samuel L. Jackson movie dramatization
extolling Obama's boldness (the same boldness he displayed when he
refused to vote on the resolution criticizing MoveOn for their
infamous "Betrayus" ad) to hit the theatres before Petraeus has time
to pack his bags at CentCom.

Oy, the stench wafting in all directions out of Washington, DC, stinks
to high heaven. Lord help us!

"It ought never to be forgotten, that a firm union of this country,
under an efficient government, will probably be an increasing object
of jealousy to more than one nation of Europe; and that enterprises to
subvert it will sometimes originate in the intrigues of foreign
powers, and will seldom fail to be patronized and abetted by some of
them. Its preservation, therefore ought in no case that can be
avoided, to be committed to the guardianship of any but those whose
situation will uniformly beget an immediate interest in the faithful
and vigilant performance of the trust." [Federalist Papers #59]
