There's a lot you should know about SSD. The original SSDs were based on flash RAM and each individual bit has a limited number of write cycles. The limits gone up. The SSD circuitry is "smart" about rotating around what areas are used, and smart about reallocating bits as they go bad. There are good SSDs, better SSDs, and cheap SSDs. You might start your search at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ssd_drive I know with Linux, there are some recommended best practices of altering default OS behavior so that it doesn't write as often. You might want to poke around the intertubes to see if there are some similar documents with recommendations for Windows. -- Ted Roche Ted Roche & Associates, LLC http://www.tedroche.com _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
