There's a lot you should know about SSD. The original SSDs were based
on flash RAM and each individual bit has a limited number of write
cycles. The limits gone up. The SSD circuitry is "smart" about
rotating around what areas are used, and smart about reallocating bits
as they go bad. There are good SSDs, better SSDs, and cheap SSDs.

I know with Linux, there are some recommended best practices of
altering default OS behavior so that it doesn't write as often. You
might want to poke around the intertubes to see if there are some
similar documents with recommendations for Windows.
