But opening the dbf-File direcly in Excel also don't show the Memo
fields.
A workaround is to import the data from dbf with a query. this imports
memo to.

I did learn of a nice workaround for the Excel rows limitation from a 
new boss in Indy this past week:  If you're using the version of Excel

where it tops out at 16384 rows, save it as Fox2X and then just open
the 
DBF from inside Excel.  Sounded like a neat trick.
