Can any of the MS SQL gurus here explain to me why the hell MSSQL Server allows 
this:

 

Select Column1 As Name, Column2 As Name, Column3 As Name

 

The point is you can have multiple columns having same name in output. I just 
don’t understand who the heck needs this.

If you later need to access one of the columns by name, you’re pretty much 
f*cked up.

 

Is there any logical explanation for this?
