I don't use general fields but perhaps STRTOFILE run inside a SCAN loop will do
what you want?
USE mypicturetable
SCAN
STRTOFILE(mypicturetable.generalfield,<jpg name>)
ENDSCAN

Subject: from general to jpg.
I'm paying for rookie mistakes big time. Is there an easy way to take around
2,000 photo's stored in a general field and store them as jpg files.
They went in one at a time over ten years or so... copy in corel draw and
paste in the foxpro form. i dread doing them all in reverse
order.
Gary
