I have been using Adobe professional 6.0 for years to add/remove pages from pdf documents, add form fields, etc, but now it stopped working? it shows the initial page but won't run. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling on XP several times, but it won't work. I disabled the anti-virus, etc. Anyone have any ideas?
Nuance has one, but they limit the number of times you can install and I need to be able to rebuild (change hardware, etc) my programming system several times per year so I am not going to buy anything else from them. If you call them they will enable another install, but that takes a phone call and 10 minutes or more. A real pain. Is there a good replacement? I am not going to pay over $300 for another copy of any Adobe software.
