Got this email today asking me to attend this webinar next month: ---------------------------------- Live Webcast: Evaluating Cloud Solutions: Insights from an Early Adopter of Google Apps and Microsoft BPOS (Source is Microsoft)
http://webcasts.techrepublic.com.com/abstract.aspx?docid=1931015&promo=99&trial=25333225&tag=nl.e099 Overview: Serena Software, a leading software company in the application development and governance market, made headlines in 2008 when it decided to migrate all of their 600 employees from Microsoft Exchange to Google Apps. After months of user dissatisfaction, content loss and poor support, the company decided to make a full migration off of Google Apps to Microsoft's Business Productivity Online Suite. Since then, user confidence has returned, IT has once again become a trusted partner, and the company can increase their focus on their core business. ---------------------------------- When I saw BPOS, I must admit that I thought of Big Piece of Sh!t. There *is* an expected level of confidence with many MS users. I remember trying to get my (now ex-) wife and daughter to use openOffice instead of Word -- you'd have thought I was asking them to write with pen and paper...such resistance! In the same light, I'm sure many users at Serena were happy to be using MS again. Do you know of companies using Google Apps and who are very happy with it? -- Mike Babcock, MCP MB Software Solutions, LLC President, Chief Software Architect http://mbsoftwaresolutions.com http://fabmate.com http://twitter.com/mbabcock16 _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
