Eurico,

The only reason I can think of is it's a top-level form and the Modal
setting is turned off by design. I do not feel this is good practice. In
VFP there is only one active READ EVENTS. If I remember correctly they are
not nested. Meaning, when you issue the CLEAR EVENTS it clears all of
them.
