Rafael, I upgraded from Windows 7 Home to Windows 7 Professional on my Sony Vaio.
Upgrade worked well (I upgraded in place vs. doing a re-install from scratch) except that Sony doesn't officially support Windows 7 Professional on any of their consumer laptops. Apparently you have to spent $500 more for this privilege. Good luck!
