I started using Podcaster on the iphone (3GS) a couple of weeks ago, and so far am quite happy with it. There is no need to use a PC anymore to download the podcasts and then sync - podcasts can be downloaded directly to the app and settings include an option to only download when using wifi. There is also a way to import your feed list, which is a nice way to get up and going on it right away (if you currently use Google Reader or some other program).
