It doesn't appear to be prominently pointed out, but the author is no impartial source! If you don't make it all the way to the end or click on the byline link, here's a clue: "Jim Mlodgenski is Chief Architect at EnterpriseDB. Jim is one of EnterpriseDB's first employees, having joined the company in May 2005. Over the years, Jim has been responsible for key activities such as sales engineering, professional services, strategic technology solutions delivery and customer education." Considering his position, I'm surprised the article isn't more one-sided! I do think the article is not very well thought-out, and it's missing all of the recent developments in the MySQL world like Drizzle and MariaDB. Pro Tip: To avoid the tons of garbage ads, popups and distractions after the initial load, hit the "Print" button and view the article content in glorious Flash-free single-scrolling-page format. -- Ted Roche Ted Roche & Associates, LLC http://www.tedroche.com _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
